So it’s been raining cats and dogs for the past 30 days and I was seriously considering starting to build an arch but then I figure searching for couple of every animals would take a lifetime so I decide against it and bought myself a bottle of bourbon instead. The thing is the dirt around here is mainly clay and when it rains there are pools of water all over. Dad quickly noticed it and went several times to city hall to have some sort of a drain to let the water go to a pound few hundred yards North West of his property. Each time he went he received the same answers: there isn’t any money for that kind of work… You know we are a rural town and there are going to be days like this, nature has it’s own way of doing things.
Well Dad past away several years ago and nothing has been done. Every year, during the rainy season (which is pretty much all year long, just like in Washington State, except there aren’t any pretty sites, nor intelligent people for that matter) there are big puddles of water that comes dangerously close to home.
Then 2 years ago a new neighbor moved in and she claimed to have a passion for horses. So she bought or rented the
land behind my place and had some poor bastards staying without food for days. Recently her husband decided to built some sort of shelter for the creature.
Anyhow Since this freaking wordpress doesn’t work and I’m seriously thinking about going to bloggers, I can’t for the moment upload the photos of inundated field nor that of the Volvo that was brought by the mayor to create the new drain… paid of course by local people tax dollars.. oups euros. Did I say the phony horse lover is the mayor’s daughter?
